Calf Canyon Bed & Breakfast
Beneath steep, eroded walls along the San Juan River lies tiny, historic Bluff (pop. 300). On The Bluff City Historic Loop, Calf Canyon Bed and Breakfast is a new Pioneer-style home with three upstairs corner guest rooms, each with private, full bath. Navajo rugs and original artwork compliment views. Guests explore local archaeological sites, raft the San Juan River to view rock art and Anasazi ruins, visit Monument Valley and nearby National Monuments, and use Bluff as base camp for explorations into the wild outback, or out onto the great Navajo Reservation. Breakfasts, served in the dining area overlooking the shaded patio, feature juice, seasonal fruits, specialty entrees such as pecan waffles or southwestern eggs prepared with garden vegetables, and fresh ground coffee or brewed tea. Rates: $100-120.
