The Panguitch Quilt Walk Festival is an annual event that commemorates a life-saving trek made by early Mormon settlers of the Panguitch area in the harsh winter of 1864. The 2013 event will be June 6-8. Activities include a chocolate fest, Pioneer Home tours, theater presentations, and of course a quilt show and classes. Find registration and visitor information at www.quiltwalk.org.
Bed and Breakfast Inns of Utah member, Red Brick Inn, is located in town and close to all of the festival events. Since the inn sells out quickly (only two rooms remain as of this post), contact soon.
When attending the Quiltwalk Festival, consider a stop at the beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park. Lodging is available at nearby Buffalo Sage Inn in Tropic, just a few miles from the entrance to the Park.
