Spring City in Utah's Sanpete County has transitioned from pioneer times as a farming community to become one of Utah's largest artist communities, with numerous artists and craftsmen in residence.

Originally inhabited by Native Americans who came for the spring water, the current town was populated by Mormon pioneers, with a permanent settlement established in 1854. Danish immigrants were among those first settlers, lending a Scandinavian architectural style to that of various American styles. Numerous buildings have been preserved from that time including early logs homes, frame structures, and farm buildings, and the imposing residences and commercial buildings of fine masonry construction. Located along Utah's Heritage Highway US #89, the town has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Spring City looks out at the majestic Horseshoe Mountain and other surrounding peaks of the Manti-LaSal National Forest of the Wasatch Plateau. There is easy access to miles of hiking, biking, and ATV trails, as well as 4-wheel drive roads along the Skyline Drive which follows part of the Utah Adventure Highway and the Great Western Trail. It provides panoramic views and is one of the most scenic drives in the Nation.

A great time to visit Spring City is during its May Heritage Day Festivities, which include a historic home tour and art and antique sales. Or for something different, choose the Fall Flea Market.
