Midway is a city in the Wasatch County of Utah. It is located in the picturesque Heber Valley. Popular local legend states that there were originally two settlements founded by Swiss emigrants, which were later consolidated at a distance mid-way between the two, presumably during the Black Hawk War in Utah. The city has hence been called Midway.
Midway hosts a wealth of attractions: a yearly festival, Swiss Days is held on Labor Day weekend, with local artisans as well as those from far-flung communities sharing their wares. Midway also provides several Hot springs resorts. Homestead and Mountain spa are two historic resorts in the Midway area. Both were founded in the 1880s and are still running strong today, providing weary travelers with a therapeutic healing waters.
