Manti is located in Sanpete County and is one of Utah’s oldest cities. Close to 100 pre-1880 buildings remain preserved on Manti’s side streets. The most visible site in Manti is the Manti Temple, one of the first temples built by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (known as the Mormans). This large Temple dominates the area's horizon, and can be seen at night from over five miles away. Each year Manti hosts the two week long Mormon Miracle Pageant. The pageant portrays the history of the Book of Mormon and of the pioneers and early church leaders.

Manti is located along US Highway #89, one of Utah’s Heritage Highways, which connects numerous small historic rural communities settled by pioneer families. Area recreational opportunities include several nearby reservoirs and golf courses.
