Bryce Canyon is a small national park in southwestern Utah. Named after the Mormon Pioneer Ebenezer Bryce, Bryce Canyon became a national park in 1928.
Bryce is famous for its unique geology, eroded by frost and rain, which have dissolved the limestone rock into a series of horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters. Carved from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, bizarre shapes include slot canyons, windows, fins, and spires called "hoodoos."
Bryce Canyon B & B's provide easy access to the park. Closest Member inns are in Tropic, Cedar City, and Panguitch.
